Trip Reports & Photography Of A Bradford Hillwalker

I'm Nigel Brown and you have found my website - Trip Reports & Photography Of A Bradford Hillwalker. This site is best viewed at a resolution of 1024x768 but also 800x600 if you must. If you should have any problems accessing or viewing these pages, you can e-mail me at walker@ngbrown.free-online.co.uk.

Primarily, the following pages contain trip reports of my days on the hills and fells of the United Kingdon. Each report has a route description, photos and a list of bagged summits with height and grid references. A recent addition which can be found on some of the latest reports is the inclusion of GPS data, in the form of ascent and descent profiles and track route map data. Although my walking exploits began back in October 1997, the trip reports available here begin in July 2001, the foot & mouth crisis providing me with an opportunity to re-design my website.

Some of my early photos which can be viewed in the walking photo gallery were taken using disposable Kodak cameras. In February 2000, I decided I wanted to try and improve my outdoor photography. This led me to purchase my first 35mm SLR, a Minolta Dynax 404si. Naturally, this also then led to different film types, filters, techniques, lenses, tripods, lighting etc..... Which brings me onto the second, lesser part of my website, photography.

With the purchase of a second 35mm SLR, a Minolta Dynax 505si super, I began to take a more general interest in photography. The amount of camera equipment I was beginning to gather proving to be rather expensive to simply use on my trips to the fells. My most recent event providing me with an opportunity to photograph a fireworks display, the results and techniques used are available to look and read here on the photography pages.

Whatever your reason for visiting my website, enjoy.
